Title     Content Coalition (Languages) - Day 3

Target Audience     Catholic Schools

Rationale     In 2015, 2016 and 2018 The Content Coalition initiative brought together several high achieving primary and secondary schools in Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) to generate digital content for Year 6, 7 and 8 Science and Mathematics. Twelve iTunesU 22 courses and twenty-six multi-touch books were created by the teachers as part of the initiative. As at the end of December 2019, the multi-touch books have been downloaded a total of 15,400 times. Both iTunesU courses and multi-touch books have occupied the top position for their respective categories. These resources are currently featured in a section in the iBooks store under the Catholic Education Western Australia banner. CEWA is seeking to expand and build on this work by bringing together language teachers to participate in a fourth Content Coalition. The aim of this fourth Content Coalition is to bring together educators to create Languages courses for Primary and Secondary school year levels.

Content     By participating in this initiative, teachers will: • share learning and best practice about integrating the Apple education ecosystem into classroom practice, • create highly engaging student content that makes the most of the interactive features of the iPad, • create student workflows that enable personalisation, inquiry, collaboration, experimentation and reflection, • contribute to and draw from a shared content repository, • publish their content to support other schools in their learning journey, • build an ongoing network across schools, supporting one another in the development of interactive content.
