Title     Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) 1-Day General Course K-12
     
Target Audience     Catholic Schools
     
Rationale     It is a Non-Government school registration requirement that all students receive a protective behaviours and sexual abuse prevention education. CEWA endorses and provides training in KS:CPC to meet this requirement. The Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is developed by experts in child abuse prevention. It is age and developmental-stage appropriate, is culturally responsive and can be integrated into the wider curriculum. KS:CPC includes e-safety education and builds practical self-protective skills and strategies.
     
Content     Participants will gain an understanding of the KS:CPC aims, topics and focus areas. Participants will gain an understanding of: • Their responsibilities and obligations • Ways to implement the KSCPC within relevant curriculum and pedagogy • The importance of a whole site approach, and • Keeping parents / caregivers informed.

Additional Comments     Please be aware that this course may be subject to cancellation if interest is low. In the event of cancellation, registered participants will be directed to enrol in the next available date.
     
Outcomes     On completion participants will: Participants will be able to deliver KS:CPC within their classrooms and access all relevant documents to support curriculum implementation.
