Title     EAL/D Moderation Session (Listening and Speaking) ONLINE

Rationale     This session aims to support educators through the process of moderating EAL/D student work samples based on the EAL/D Progress Maps and a common task. Participants will be expected to have a minimum of two work samples, based on a common task, to be moderated on the day. This Professional Learning opportunity will focus on the Teacher Practices of Learning Design and Instructional range
     
Content     Participants will: • Develop an understanding of how to effectively and accurately use the EAL/D Progress maps to assess students in the modes of Listening and Speaking. • Moderate EAL/D student work samples against the EAL/D Progress Maps.

Additional Comments     Please note that this session is online for regional schools all other participants are encouraged to attend the in-person session on 16th May 2024. Participants are required to have a minimum of two work samples based on a common task in the modes of Listening and Speaking from students on EAL/D learning plans. Common tasks will be announced via the EAL/D Teaching and Learning TEAM during Term 1. Enrolments close 09 May 2024
