The Conference will support the development of early years educators and leaders by aligning with strategic goals related to the CEWA Quality Catholic Education, the CEWA Vision for Learning and Early Years Learning and Care Position Paper, the National Quality Standard (NQS), and global trends in research and educational policy that highlight the importance of high-quality teaching and learning experiences in the early years.
The conference will focus on various aspects of a child's life during the early years. Through the exploration of early childhood development and pedagogical documentation, educators build an understanding of the significance of each child's story. The conference will empower educators to recognise the pivotal role this plays in optimising learning, development, and lifelong success. Furthermore, the conference will promote cultural responsiveness and inclusive practices safeguarding children's freedom from discrimination.
Delegates will engage in a three-day professional learning program featuring evidence-based research from state, national and international speakers. The program aims to build upon educators' and leaders' pedagogical expertise and capacity to implement sound early childhood pedagogies and provide opportunities for connecting and networking with like-minded educators and professionals.
