|
Content |
|
This Professional Learning is provided to ensure Year One teachers are equipped to analyse and interpret system literacy and numeracy assessments to inform teaching and learning.
The CEWA Literacy Assessment Suite provides a clear and comprehensive snapshot of individual children’s emergent skills and strategies across a range of authentic reading and writing tasks.
Teachers will learn how to collectively analyse and interpret: Running Records of Oral Reading; Concepts About Print; Hearing and Recording Sounds in Words (Revised); Year 1 Phonics Check (Term 3); and the Burt Word Reading Test.
The Mathematics Assessment interview is a data-gathering tool. The MAI framework of growth points provides a general structure for understanding a student’s developing mathematical skills and concepts. The interview provides specific information on what individuals and groups of students know and are able to do.
