Title     Developing Oral Language with EAL/D students in Early Childhood 2024

Rationale     This session will explore the use of effective EAL/D pedagogies conducive to the development of oral language in Standard Australian English for students in Early Childhood classrooms. This Professional Learning opportunity will focus on the Teacher Practices of Learning Design, Quality Relationships, Engagement, Instructional range and Place, space and technology.
     
Content     Participants will: • Explore EAL/D pedagogies for young students. • Understand the EAL/D student identification process and EAL/D diagnostic assessments. • Develop an understanding of how to support the development of oral language with EAL/D students in the classroom. • Build confidence and effectiveness to support EAL/D students in Early Childhood classrooms.
