Rationale     Effective Mentoring for Early Career Teachers provides mentors with the knowledge, skills and understandings to best support Early Career Teachers and their professional practice. It enables mentors to contextually explore opportunities of best practice as well as assist Early Career Teachers through the registration process with the development of portfolios.
     
Content     The workshop will provide practical strategies and resources for forming the mentor-mentee relationship and will establish a network of mentors who will learn and support each other.

Outcomes     On completion participants will: - Reflect on the value of leaders acting “more like Jesus in how they think, hear, speak and behave” (Mandate 43) - Explore what it means to be a mentor and how to gauge the impact of mentoring - Guide and support the Early Career Teacher through professional conversations and practice in the classroom. - Explore the TRBWA portfolio preparation process
