| Rationale |
|
It is a Non-Government school registration requirement that all students receive a protective behaviours and sexual abuse prevention education. CEWA endorses and provides training in KS:CPC to meet this requirement. The Keeping Safe Child Protection Curriculum (KS:CPC) is developed by experts in child abuse prevention. It is age and developmental-stage appropriate, is culturally responsive and can be integrated into the wider curriculum. KS:CPC includes e-safety education and builds practical self-protective skills and strategies. |

| Content |
|
Participants will gain an understanding of the KS:CPC aims, topics and focus areas. Participants will gain an understanding of:
• Their responsibilities and obligations
• Ways to implement the KSCPC within relevant curriculum and pedagogy
• The importance of a whole site approach, and
• Keeping parents / caregivers informed. |

|
Kimberley Region School Staff ONLY
Kimberley Diocese Teachers, Education Assistants, Aboriginal Teaching Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Mental Health Practitioners who have not previously completed KSCPC. |

On completion participants will:
Participants will be able to deliver KS:CPC within their classrooms and access all relevant documents to support curriculum implementation. |
