Rationale     The Department of Education, Catholic Education Western Australia and the Association of Independent Schools Western Australia have partnered with Berry Street to offer this professional learning opportunity for staff who work with children displaying sexual behaviours (primary years).
     
Content     This introductory webinar will help participants identify the differences between age-expected and problematic sexual behaviour, when to seek specialist support and consider possible causes in the development of problematic or harmful sexual behaviour. This webinar focuses on contact sexual behaviours and not internet-related sexual behaviour. There is also the opportunity to attend a second webinar for Sexual Behaviour in Children in the Secondary Years on 25 May and, whilst there is a small overlap of content, each webinar focuses on specific age groups. A third webinar - Sexual Behaviour in Children and Young People - Beyond the Basics - on 1 June considers issues relating to treatment, therapeutic care and risk management focusing on both age groups. Presenter information: Mr Robert Tucker, Director of RGT Training and Consultancy is based in the UK and delivers professional learning addressing sexual behaviours in children and young people. Mr Tucker is an internationally renowned specialist working with children, adolescents and families where there are concerns about sexual abuse and inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviours. All seminars will be delivered online via webinar and are free of charge. Please note that explicit language pertaining to sexual behaviours is used during the webinars.
