The ‘Trauma Responsive Practice in Education Course’ is an eleven module self-paced online learning program. This course provides an overview of the neurobiology of trauma as well as a framework for effectively responding to children and young people who have experienced trauma. This course is specifically designed for staff working in schools. |

Course outcomes include:
• a summary of the knowledge and evidence base about trauma and its impact on child development
• principles of trauma responsive practice
• creative and practical strategies that support the recovery of children and young people from trauma
• ways to collaborate with others to maximise the impact of the support provided to vulnerable children and young people.

The course includes knowledge checks at the end of most modules and staff completing this course will need to successfully complete each knowledge check to be able to access the next module.
