Rationale     Ensuring a safe environment for students, staff and visitors is essential for Catholic schools. In recent years the frequency and severity of school facing threats and potential risks to others requires additional support for schools in threat identification and risk management.
     
Content     This training session is designed to equip key school staff with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively identify, assess and refer potential threats.

Outcomes     On completion participants will: • Increase awareness of various threats that can impact a school environment • Develop skills and tools to identify indicators of concern and early warning signs and assess their severity • Strengthen response and referral strategies to effectively manage and mitigate identified risks • Review incident management processes • Increase knowledge of protective factors to support vulnerable students
