| | This full day professional learning workshop session is designed to inspire and equip educators to embrace outdoor learning on school campuses or in nearby natural spaces. This workshop highlights the benefits of teaching outdoors, supported by research and inspiring stories of outdoor classrooms in action. Through participating in this professional learning educators will learn how to transform everyday lessons by incorporating the natural environment, from simple, single-session activities to more extensive programs that utilise school grounds or under-utilised local bushland.
In addition, educators will gain practical advice on identifying suitable sites, liaising with local councils, assessing risks, and resourcing outdoor spaces to build a culture of learning and curiosity in nature. |
