According to the Education and Care Services National Law (Western Australia) Act 2012, an ‘early childhood worker’ includes all OSHC staff and ELC staff. Please refer to the Information sheet attached for additional information.
To support this new legislation and to support all CEWA Care Service staff to understand their role and responsibilities as Mandatory Reporters, this session will be a face-to-face Mandatory Reporting training session facilitated by CEWA Child Safe Lead, Tim Wong.
Tim will be working through the legislation on mandatory reporting and will open the floor for discussion and answer any child safe and code of conduct questions. Tim will also talk to other reporting processes such as the Reportable Conduct Scheme with the Ombudsman.
