Position Details

St Joseph's is a double stream, co-educational Catholic primary school catering for a current enrolment of 500 students from the Three Year Old Kindergarten to Year 6 within a Christ centred environment.The school celebrates close ties with the parish. The school offers a range of specialist subjects incuding Physical Education, Art, Science, Health, Indonesian, Drama and Singing. The school caters for the diverse needs of the students offering extracurricular activities such as senior and junior choir and running club. The school has strong parental support with an active School Advisory Council and Parent and Friends Association.

This is a casual Relief Teacher position commencing on 15 April 2024. Multiple positions are available for this role.

Selection Criteria

• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with parents, students and colleagues.
• Exhibit an active personal witness to the Catholic faith.
• Knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum with the ability to effectively teach and differentiate for  learning.
• Classroom teaching experience that caters for the individual needs of students, including those with special needs.
• Excellent classroom management skills.


Qualifications Required

• Relevant 4 Year Teaching qualification.
• Accreditation to Teach RE.
