Position Details

Visual Arts, Media or Drama Primary Teacher


St Brigid’s Primary School, Middle Swan  is a double stream co-educational school, catering for students from Pre Kindergarten to Year 6. Our committed and enthusiastic staff work closely together to provide a collaborative and supportive learning and teaching environment. We are seeking a Visual Arts, Media or Drama Teacher. This is a temporary position commencing 1 January 2026 and concluding 31 December 2026 with the possibility of extension. 

Selection Criteria

• Ability to teach Visual Arts, Media or Drama K-6
• Proven experience in successfully planning, organising and delivering educational programs  
• Ability to work in a professional manner and establish positive working relationships with students, staff and parents
• Sound knowledge of art processes and techniques in Primary School
• Creative, organized, enthusiastic person with a positive attitude and genuine interest in the arts
• An ability to integrate art into other subject areas
• Ability to foster nurturing and positive relationships with students to cater for their needs
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments 
• A sound understanding of the West Australian Curriculum

Qualifications Required

• Relevant 4 year tertiary qualification in Primary Education
• Accreditation to work in a Catholic School (or working towards)
