Position Details

Head of Year – Full-time, Ongoing

As a Head of Year, you understand that wellbeing is both central to learning and an outcome of learning. You work in a collaborative team to actively promote wellbeing throughout the community, supporting students to feel well and function well.

Your day will look like:

•    supporting students from a specific year group on their educational journey by building positive relationships based on mutual respect.
•    supporting students to uphold the College values and adhere to the student code of conduct.
•    maintaining an understanding of and enhancing overall student wellbeing.
•    finding opportunities to develop the resilience and capacity for emotional intelligence within students.
•    supporting your peers to develop and maintain safe, supportive and respectful learning environments.
•    being innovative and implementing positive change.
•    liaising with parents, guardians and external providers to support the wellbeing of students.
•    working in collaboration with other staff to track the academic progress of students.


Qualifications Required

For this role, you will need:

•    a tertiary teaching qualification and TRBWA registration.
•    previous experience in a leadership role.
•    a current Working with Children Registration.
•    to be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.  
•    the ability to teach Religious Education (highly advantageous).
