Position Description
Coordinator, Mission and Ministry (Catholic Youth Ministry)
Maximum Term (12 Months), Full-Time 1.0 FTE
Catholic Youth Ministry is the official agency for youth ministry in the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth, assisting young people aged 12-30 to build a lasting relationship with Jesus.
The Coordinator, Mission and Ministry will work together with the wider CYM team to develop and deliver a faith formation program for young people. This will include the development and delivery of mission (outreach) programs to proclaim the Good News, and ministry (internal) programs that train, support, and enhance the lives of young people in the Archdiocese of Perth. This position encompasses a variety of tasks that relate to supporting parish youth and young adult groups, assisting in parish and diocesan youth events, and liaising with clergy, schools, other agencies, and movements.

3. Additional 3.5 days leave over Christmas
The successful candidate must have experience in Mission and Ministry work and an in-depth understanding of the Catholic Faith and Church practices. They will have the ability to research, develop, deliver, and evaluate programs for youth initiatives. Demonstrated leadership skills, the ability to recruit and work effectively with multiple teams of volunteers is essential.
A valid Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance and Western Australian Driver’s Licence is required.
