Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School is a single stream school that caters for 240 students from PK - 6. Located in Kelmscott, our school has a strong reputation as a school which builds positive connections with members of the community as we develop relationships with families to ensure the best interests of each child. We also have a strong relationship with our parish. Situated on 13 acres of land, we operate a bush school program for the children to experience in the cooler months of the year and integrate a number of animals into our community including: a minature horse, two goats, chickens and quails as a way of utilising the space for the benefit of the children.   The successful applicant will be required to utilize their interpersonal skills and abilities to ensure strong student engagement and communication skills with their students, parents and fellow staff members. We are seeking a suitably qualified, creative early childhood classroom teacher committed to the pursuit of educational excellence to be part of a progressive and dynamic team.   Selection Criteria Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education. Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education guidelines, EYLF, NQS and the Western Australian curriculum. Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuous monitoring methods and tools to adjust the teaching/learning program and teaching practices to cater for the needs of all students. Display excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Display excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and the community. A positive and enthusiastic approach to education. Qualifications Required Be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia A valid Working with Children Check Card in Western Australia Relevant four year ECE qualification Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or willingness to attain this) Applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae, addressing the selection criteria mentioned above.
