Position Details

Mathematics Teacher – Full-time, Ongoing

This position is for a Years 7 to 12 Teacher with the ability to teach at an ATAR level preferred but not essential.  

This is an ongoing full-time position commencing 1 January 2025.

Situated in the picturesque Avon Valley, 50 mins from Midland CBD, St Joseph’s School is a Catholic coeducational K-12 School with approximately 780 students on two campuses.


Selection Criteria

Special skills are needed and applications are invited from applicants who possess the following attributes:

• Mathematics Teacher (ability to teach Years 11 & 12 is preferred but not essential).
• Be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and learning area skills.
• Possess a sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and be able to integrate digital technology into their teaching practices.
• Be an enthusiastic and cooperative team person who will work collaboratively with all teachers and the Leadership Team.
• Understand the importance of feedback to parents and students.
• Show initiative and participate fully in school activities.
• Be a creative, flexible and enthusiastic educator.
• Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication and organisational skills.


Qualifications Required

• Accreditation requirements as specified by CEWA.
• Relevant 4 year tertiary qualifications.
