| Position Details
St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 500 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and dynamic educator and leader to positively influence the lives of the students, staff and families at St Helena’s Catholic Primary School. As Assistant Principal you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You will be collaborating with the Principal and Leadership Team to drive school initiatives, support staff development, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
Selection Criteria
• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education and be an active member of the Catholic Church.
• Promote the Catholic Identity of the school through its vision, mission and educational goals and values.
• Have the skills and ability to support the Principal in the Leadership Domains of Catholic Identity, Education, Community and Stewardship.
• Have a strong knowledge of current educational practices, to assist with the ongoing development of curriculum and school improvement within St Helena’s Catholic Primary School, and have a passion for driving educational change.
• Be able to support a culture in which every student is recognised as having the ability to learn and within which their learning and engagement are actively improved with quality teaching.
• Celebrate and promote the achievement of excellence and ensure accountability at all levels.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all students, staff, families and the St Helena of the Holy Cross Parish.
• Be a positive and enthusiastic leader who shows the capacity and commitment to the School’s extra-curricular activities and initiatives in establishing structures for family engagement in student learning the capability to work collaboratively with other staff to promote student learning.
• Show commitment to student and staff wellbeing.
• Ensure the student is at the centre of all decisions, processes and planning.
Qualifications Required
• Accreditation for Leadership.
• A minimum of seven years relevant educational experience.
• Experience as an Assistant Principal (desirable).
