Position Details

St Maria Goretti's Catholic Primary School invites suitable applicants to apply for the role of Year 6 Teacher. The successful applicant will live out their faith in their daily lives, be positive and bring their own energy and passion to an already dynamic staff.

Selection Criteria


The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to show initiative and respond positively to feedback
  • Work professionally and co-operatively as a member of a team 
  • Develop positive, trusting and professional relationships with staff, students and families
  • Have an understanding of restorative practices would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the Berry Street Education model would be advantageous
  • An understanding of the UR Strong Program would be advantageous 

Applicants must submit a covering letter, curriculum vitae and responses to the selection criteria addressed to the Acting Principal Mr Kim Hughes, including the names and contact numbers of three referees, one of whom must be the current employer and a Parish Priest.
