Position Details

St Peter's Primary School is seeking a passionate, dynamic and enthusiastic Year One Teacher to join our diverse, committed and vibrant team. Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education. This a temporary replacement, with the possibility of contractual extension at the end of the year, and part time arrangements will be considered.

  • Faith-filled individual who inspires students to be Christ-centred and embraces Catholic social teachings. 
  • Work co-operatively and collaboratively as part of an energetic and dedicated team of educators.
  • Develops positive, meaningful and respectful relationships with students, staff and families.   
  • Demonstrates excellence in teaching and learning, as an innovative and reflective practitioner.
  • Has ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching and learning practices to raise student levels of achievement. 
  • Has expertise in integrating digital technologies, in particular iPads, in classroom teaching and learning programs.
  • Is an inclusive teacher who can support students with diverse learning, social and cultural needs through constant promotion of safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications Required

  • Relevant 4-year tertiary qualification
  • Accreditation to work in a Catholic School
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or working towards)
  • Familiar with Talk for Writing (Desirable)

Interviews will be conducted during Week Two of the school holidays
