Position Details
EDUCATION ASSISTANT (EARLY CHILDHOOD)
Status: Ongoing part-time (0.8 FTE) position
Commencing: 1 January 2025
We are seeking a a vibrant and enthusiastic Education Assistant who loves working in an interesting and engaging Early Childhood environment.
Queen of Apostles School is a co-educational school catering for 260 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. Strong and effective relationships exist between home, school and parish. We strive to instill in the students the values of Faith, Resilience, Respect, Compassion and Excellence.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
- Display a committed and enthusiastic approach to working with children, with the ability to develop positive and constructive relationships
- Work positively with teacher direction, as part of a dedicated, collaborative and enthusiastic team
- Possess good time management skills
- Exhibit a friendly, open and approachable manner and be supportive of the Catholic Ethos
Qualifications Required
- Either holding or actively working towards a Diploma level qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
- This may also include actively working towards the pre-requisite course to the Diploma which is the Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current Working With Children
- Current Police Clearance
