Auslan Teacher

This is a temporary, part-time position for 2026 replacing at teacher on maternity leave.

St Denis School, nestled in the heart of the Joondanna Parish, is a welcoming and inclusive Catholic primary school with a proud history dating back to 1951. We are a close-knit community serving 250 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Auslan (Australian Sign Language) Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will thrive in a collaborative, faith-filled environment and demonstrate a commitment to student wellbeing and evidence based teaching practices. 


Selection Criteria

•    Have excellent interpersonal skills and work well as part of a team.
•    Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
•    Plan and deliver Auslan lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.


Qualifications Required

•    Relevant 4 year tertiary qualification.
•    Have or be willing to obtain accreditation to teach Religious Education.
