Position Details
Education Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for an Education Assistant to join our College Community. Education Assistants support teaching staff to provide for the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of students, assists with the implementation of programs for specific teaching and learning needs.

Position Description
This is a full-time, ongoing position commencing as soon as practicable.

Selection Criteria

Essential:
•    Experience of working with students with additional needs 
•    Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties as a member of the Lumen Christi College community

On appointment, the successful applicant will be required to:
•    Have a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
•    Have a current Crimtrac Police Clearance
•    Undergo Mandatory Reporting Training
•    Acquire and/or maintain Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School

Desirable:
•    Certificate III in Education Support or similar qualification 
•    Have previous experience of working as an Education Assistant within a school context
•    Have a proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of a team
•    Be able to assist with the development of community amongst staff, students and parents
•    Have demonstrated the capacity to relate professionally with students, parents and staff
