Position Details
TEACHER
Sacred Heart School is a single-stream Catholic Primary School located in the heart of Mundaring. Our school is warm and friendly, offering high-quality education and a genuine sense of community to our students and their families. Our school motto: ‘To learn, to care, to give’ upholds the values we instil in ourselves and others.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and exceptional Teacher (preferably Early Childhood Trained) to join our school on a temporary full-time basis as maternity leave cover.
Selection Criteria
The successful application will:
• be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• possess or be working towards the necessary Early Childhood Education qualifications.
• be familiar with the Early Years Learning Framework (ELYF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).
• have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children.
• offer a differentiated curriculum to cater for children of all abilities and assist all students to achieve their full potential.
• have an awareness of 21st century teaching and learning strategies; implement teaching programs that engage all students.
• possess strong ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology in the teaching and learning program. Familiarity with Apple products would be desirable.
• be an organised staff member who shows initiative, flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
• communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other staff.
• demonstrate highly competent classroom management skills.
• be accredited to teach Religious Education or be willing to undertake the relevant courses.
Qualifications Required
• a minimum four-year tertiary qualification.
• a current TRBWA and a Working with Children registration.
• Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School (or working towards).
