Position Details
YEAR 1 TEACHER
St Anthony's School, Wanneroo, is a co-educational double stream Catholic school that caters for over 440 students and their families from 3 Year Old Kindergarten to Year 6. We are a community that strives to develop and encourage the Christian values modelled by Jesus and where growth of the whole person is enhanced through our educational program.
This is a maternity leave replacement. We are seeking an enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher who will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team, St Anthony's employees, students and members of the parent community.
Selection Criteria
• A clear commitment to the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Year 1 SCSA curriculum and integration of the EYLF and NQS into planning and teaching.
• Experience with the InitiaLit Reading program would be an advantage.
• Proven experience in working with peers to plan for and implement teaching that improves student engagement and learning through effective teaching and differentiated learning.
• The ability to work collaboratively with other staff to provide the best possible opportunities and outcomes for all students.
• Proven knowledge of, and experience in, using digital technologies to enhance learning and teaching.
• Understanding of the principles of Child Safety, CEWA Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting, and Work Health and Safety.
• Have the ability to be flexible and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
• Provide contact details for a Parish Priest referee.
Qualifications Required
• Bachelor of Education (ECE preferred).
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or working towards).
