MIDDLE PRIMARY CLASSROOM TEACHER
Thursday & Friday (0.4 FTE)
Assumption Catholic Primary School is a vibrant, double-stream co-educational school from Pre-Kindy to Year 6. Our flourishing learning community is inspired by our motto, "United in Christ."
We are dedicated to implementing contemporary, evidence-based learning programs that equip students to be effective learners and collaborators in a changing world. Our supportive environment focuses on high-impact instructional practices to enhance student achievement.
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher for 2025. This part-time position offers the chance to implement evidence-based teaching practices, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
Ideal candidates will:
• Be highly motivated and committed to improving student outcomes through high-impact teaching approaches.
• Use ongoing assessment to check for understanding, differentiate teaching, and plan next steps.
• Work collaboratively to implement whole-school approaches and take collective responsibility for all students.
• Have experience with Teach Well (highly regarded).
• Commit to ongoing professional learning and growth, including coaching, classroom observation, and feedback.
Selection Criteria
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and innovative educators with the following attributes:
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching and classroom management.
• Ability to differentiate teaching to cater to student needs.
• Skill in using data to inform teaching practices and raise student achievement.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents.
• Positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude with a growth mindset and a desire to continue to improve
• Strong understanding of the Western Australian & Australian Curriculum.
• Commitment to evidence-based educational practices, particularly high-impact instruction.
• Proven ability to plan collaboratively, implement whole school approaches consistently and take collective responsibility for students.
• Proficiency in ICT skills, especially iPads.
• Actively contribute to the life of the school.
Qualifications Required
• Applicants must be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties;
• Relevant four year tertiary qualification;
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area, or the ability to achieve Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
