Position Details

Director of Community Engagement – Full-time, Ongoing

The Director of Community Engagement at Mercedes College reports in through the Senior Leadership Team and is essential in advancing the College’s mission through strategic community engagement. This role supports the Principal in shaping the College’s strategic position, providing guidance on public and media relations, and strengthening connections with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities include overseeing the Parent and Friends (P&F) Group, collaborating with the Advancement Team on strategies to sustain and grow enrolments, managing Alumni relations. The Director also liaises with external partners to enhance the College’s profile and leads staff engagement initiatives. This role is central to fostering a cohesive and vibrant Mercedes College community internally and in the public sphere.

Additionally, the Director of Community Engagement is a collaborator in developing and implementing initiatives promoting the College’s vision across all communication channels, ensuring a consistent and positive brand image. The Director of Community Engagement will also spearhead special projects and campaigns, leveraging research and data to drive innovative community engagement practices supporting the College’s long-term goals.
