Position Details
Pre-Primary Teacher – Full-time, Temporary
St Augustine’s Primary School, Rivervale is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Pre-Primary Teacher to join our community. St Augustine’s Primary School, Rivervale is a co-educational, single stream school from Kindergarten to Year Six located approximately 5km from the Perth CBD. The school enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and strong support from the parent community.
Selection Criteria
We are seeking a passionate teacher to join our staff team. The successful applicant will:
+ Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
+ Possess a sound knowledge of the Religious Education guidelines and the Western Australian curriculum.
+ Possess a sound knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
+ Demonstrate pedagogical skills with a flexible, collaborative and student-centred approach.
+ Demonstrate the ability to use assessment and continuing monitoring methods and tools to the teaching program and practices to cater for the needs of the students.
+ Demonstrate the ability to set and follow clear expectations and build relationships with students for effective classroom management.
+ Have strong ICT skills with the ability to integrate technology and enrich the teaching and learning program.
+ Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of an energetic and connected team, to enhance one’s own craft, develop student learning and contribute to the learning culture of the school.
+ Have highly honed organisational and interpersonal skills and show initiative, flexibility with a positive outlook.
+ Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm required to build community by being actively involved in the life of the school and the parish.
Qualifications Required
+ Relevant four year qualifications.
+ Accreditation to Teach Religious Education (or a willingness to attain this).
