Teacher – Middle or Upper Primary – Full-time, Ongoing
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School is a co-education, Catholic primary school located in the suburb of Hilton. Children from Three-Year-Old Kindergarten to Year Six are educated in a vibrant community, enjoying a well-resourced and progressive learning environment. At OLMC – Our Learners Make Connections.
We are seeking a suitably qualified person for a position within Middle or Upper Primary. This will be a full-time, temporary position, commencing 01 January 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025. This position is covering Parental Leave. The successful applicant will be passionate about education, will live out their faith in their daily lives, be positive and bring their own energy and passion to an already dynamic staff.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
1. An understanding of and a commitment to Catholic education.
2. The capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
3. An ability to develop positive and constructive relationships with students, staff, families and the wider community.
4. An understanding of the Child Safe Framework and Keeping Safe Curriculum.
5. A sound knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum; with the ability to organise, differentiate and design content for effective teaching.
6. Confidence and experience in the use of technology within the educational context.
7. Enthusiasm and cooperation when working as part of a highly capable team, as well as being able to work independently.
8. A high degree of professionalism, as well as highly developed communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications Required
1. Be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
2. A valid Working with Children Check Card in Western Australia.
3. Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or ability to obtain.

It is expected that applicants will address the Selection Criteria within a two-page cover letter, as well as providing a Curriculum Vitae. You must include the details of three professional referees, one of whom should be your current employer and one of whom should be your Parish Priest. Please also include copies of your qualifications with your application.
