Position Details
Property and Works Coordinator
The successful applicant will provide support and assistance to the maintenance, grounds, and services functions of the College.
Duties:
• To oversee the College maintenance ticketing system, schedule maintenance contractors, fleet servicing, provide the business manager procurement pricing and alternatives.
• To oversee procurement with responsibility for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts in collaboration with the CFO, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
• Oversee the implementation of the proactive and reactive maintenance plan
• Maintain vendor relationships and manage service contracts for cleaning, security, and maintenance services.
• Maintain accurate records for facility-related contracts, college fleet, documents, and project plans.
• Prepare regular status reports on facility operations and project progress for senior management.
• Handle general inquiries and coordinate responses to facilities-related issues.
• Maintenance; repair locks, patch plaster, paint, basic plumbing repairs
• Ensure grounds are kept to a high standard, picking up rubbish, cobweb removal, reinstating pavement, and general repairs.
• Move and assembly of office furniture.
• Collect mail / running errands as required.
• Assisting with event set up.
Selection Criteria
• At least 3 years’ experience in management of facilities and fleet and in assessing maintenance and repairs work requirements and coordinating services to perform work to specified standards
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Well-developed computer skills, including the ability to operate databases and software.
• Knowledge and experience with maintenance work such as plumbing and basic irrigation repair
• Knowledge and/or experience with gardening requirements
• Teamwork and great communication
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual approach to your work
• Current Driver’s licence full C class essential
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the role.
• Value safety as a priority in the workplace.
