Position Details
Middle / Upper Primary Teacher – Full-time, Ongoing
St Paul's School Karratha is a double stream co-educational school with 400 students from Kindergarten – Year 6. The school was established by the Presentation Sisters in 1978 and today continues the charism of their founder Nano Nagle. St Paul's Vision is To Educate Children For Life taking a holistic view of their academic, socio-emotional and spiritual development.
Karratha offers something for everyone with modern recreational facilities, cosmopolitan style restaurants and shopping comparable with other major centres. Located in the heart of the West Pilbara Coast means you can sail, fish and swim in clear blue waters one day then climb rugged hills and view the red harsh but beautiful landscape the next, without leaving town.
To help teachers, assistance with re-location and accommodation, as well as annual flights and air-conditioning subsidy is included. Selection Criteria
• Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education.
• Demonstrate excellence in building quality relationships with students, staff and the school community.
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching and classroom management and a desire to assist each student to achieve their potential.
• Experience with teaching students with special and diverse needs.
• Knowledge of the use of technology within the classroom to accelerate learning.
• Be a positive, reflective and enthusiastic teacher who demonstrates initiative and a desire to continue to improve.
• Experience with cooperative learning (desirable).
Qualifications Required
• Relevant 4 year tertiary qualifications.
• Working towards or having an Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
