Position Details
STEM Teacher – Full-time, Temporary
St Kieran Catholic Primary School is a co-educational, double stream primary school with a strong and vibrant school community. The school has a current enrolment of 493 students from 3-Year-Old Kindergarten to Year 6 with an Education Support Unit and a Regional Early Intervention Centre for students with disabilities. The school was originally established in 1920 by The Sisters of Mercy and maintains strong links with the congregation.
St Kieran Catholic Primary School is seeking suitably qualified STEM Teacher for 2025. This is a temporary full-time position commencing 1 January 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025.
Selection Criteria
We are seeking a passionate teacher to join our collaborative and dedicated staff.
The successful applicants will:
• Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
• Be an organised staff member who shows flexibility and displays a positive outlook.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of the content and pedagogy necessary to teach and assess across all aspects of the current Australian Curriculum.
• Have the ability to offer a differentiated curriculum to cater for children of all abilities along with the desire to help all students achieve their full potential.
• Possess strong ICT skills and the ability to integrate the Technologies and Science curriculum areas.
• Have well established pedagogical skills and strategies that include all students and their needs.
• Have the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with other staff.
• Be able to demonstrate highly competent classroom management and learning area skills.
• Be able to support the active enrichment and extension program.
Qualifications Required
• A Bachelor of Education or higher.
• All Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Australia, will be required complete the Child Safe Framework (Mandatory Reporting) through CEWA and undergo a CEWA Check of Employment Status.
