Position Details
MIDDLE / UPPER PRIMARY TEACHER – Full-time, Ongoing
St Andrew's Catholic Primary School is a small double stream co-educational primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 with an enrolment of approximately 390 students. The school has a strong emphasis on community with the child being the central focus in a Christ centred environment. We enjoy a very close relationship with the Parish and excellent support from the parent community.
We are seeking a passionate, motivated and exemplary educator to teach a middle or upper primary class.
At this point of time, there may be some flexibility as to what grade will be available.
Selection Criteria
• A high level of initiative, innovation, interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and the parish in maintaining a harmonious community atmosphere as part of a collaborative and dynamic team.
• A demonstrated excellence in teaching as a dynamic, innovative and reflective practitioner who strives for excellence.
• Highly competent technology skills including integration of ICT into the curriculum.
• An ability to work alongside educators to facilitate an inclusive curriculum where access, participation and the learning outcomes of students with disabilities and special needs are provided for.
• Active member of the Catholic Church.
Qualifications Required
• A relevant four year tertiary qualification.
• Accreditation for Teaching Religious Education.
• Senior First Aid (desirable).
