Position Details
Special Needs Teacher Assistant – Full-time, Temporary
Good Shepherd Catholic School is a double stream primary school located in Lockridge. We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and organised Special Needs Teacher Assistant to join our team of dedicated staff members. Good Shepherd is a very multicultural school with families coming from over 40 different countries and cultures. We strive to instil in our school values of respect, community, diversity, and excellence. We believe in building a safe, inclusive and secure learning community in which all children can develop a sense of belonging and well-being.
Work times are 8:30-3pm. Times may be negotiable.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will:
• demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
• display a committed and enthusiastic approach to working with children, with the ability to develop positive and constructive relationships.
• work positively with teacher direction, as part of a dedicated, collaborative and enthusiastic team.
• possess good time management skills.
• exhibit a friendly, open and approachable manner and be supportive of the Catholic Ethos in the performance of their duties.
Qualifications Required
Certificate IV is desirable.
