Position Details

Costume Coordinator – Part-time (0.68 FTE), Ongoing

This is an ongoing role, working 30 hours per week and school term time (0.68 FTE). Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right applicant.

As the Costume Coordinator you will work closely with teachers to support the successful execution of classroom and co-curricular performances at the College under a cohesive vision and are responsible for the creation and management of all costumes at the College.

Within the role, you will coordinate costume hire for third-party use, and sewing volunteers for production including preparing and delivering workshops.


Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will:

•    Be an active member of the Catholic Church or be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of your duties.
•    Be self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
•    Have experience in advanced pattern development both in flat and draped methods.
•    Have experience in advanced clothing construction methods and techniques, including tailoring.
•    Have extensive knowledge of design, sewing and textiles.


Qualifications Required


•    Hold a Diploma in Fashion Design or Costume Design (highly desirable).
•    Hold and maintain a Working with Children Check and Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
•    Have or are working toward completion of Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School.
