Position Details
BUSINESS MANAGER
St Brigid’s College is committed to providing excellence in education within a Christ-centred environment. St Brigid’s supports students in their growth as contributing members of the community whilst living the ethos of the Catholic faith within the spirit of Mercy.
The Business Manager holds a senior position within the Executive Leadership Team and contributes to the overall leadership of the school and its community. The Business Manager is employed by Mercy Education Limited and reports directly to the Principal. This key role is vital to support the Principal and to ensure the efficient running of the College and its long-term viability.
The Business Manager is required to work collaboratively with the College Leadership Team, Heads of Learning areas, teaching and support staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
Selection Criteria
• Knowledge of, and commitment to the ethos and values of Mercy and Catholic education.
• Business management experience, including an understanding of strategic financial management ideally within an educational setting.
• Knowledge and expertise in property management and capital works development.
• Capacity for innovative thinking and project execution.
• Experience in leadership and the development of staff.
• An understanding of the challenges of operating a significant ICT infrastructure.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications Required
• A degree qualification in Business, Economics or Accounting and Post-Graduate qualifications such as CPA, CA or MBA qualifications.
