Year Six Classroom Teacher
Christ the King is a double stream Catholic Primary School with classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 and a wonderful vibrant Special Needs Learning Support Centre. The school is situated 6 kilometres from the Fremantle harbour and 1 minute from the heart of Fremantle. Our school is set in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and family homes. The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the strong support of the parent community. Together with a comprehensive academic curriculum, Christ the King places strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.
There is a strong possibility this position will become an ongoing position.

Selection Criteria

• A sound knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and differentiated learning.
• Excellent planning and use of digital technologies, using 1:1 iPads and inquiry-based learning that engages students in a 21st century learning environment.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• A desire to help all students achieve their full potential.
• Willingness to be fully involved in the school's activities.
• Demonstrate an ability to take on extra roles and be involved in extra-curricular activities.
• A positive, enthusiastic and dynamic demeanour.
• Highly developed organisational and communicational skills and the capacity to utilise these with all stakeholders.
Qualifications Required
• Relevant four year tertiary qualification; and
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education Learning Area.
Any extra skill sets that meet the needs of the school will be taken into consideration.
