Position Details
Groundsperson / Handyperson – Part-time (0.65 FTE), Ongoing
St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a energetic and committed Groundsperson to the contribute to the maintaining of our Catholic school buildings and grounds at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 12:00pm. Hours of work are negotiable. Start date 14 October or as soon as practicable.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will:
• be able to undertake various maintenance tasks to buildings, grounds and gardens to ensure they are presented in an aesthetic manner at all times.
• able to ensure grounds are maintained in a clean, healthy, tidy state that provides students and staff with a safe environment.
• ensure maintenance requests are fulfilled within agreed timeframes.
• support the implementation of preventative maintenance and compliance.
• be able to provide and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with work health and safety legislation.
Qualifications Required
• Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain this).
• Valid Drivers License.
