Position Details

Marketing & Public Relations Officer


The Marketing and Public Relations Officer plays a vital role in enhancing the public image and community perception of the College. This role involves creating content, managing digital platforms, supporting the college events and activities, and ensuring that all communication materials align with the College's Catholic identity, values, and mission. 

You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in all aspects of school life and help us showcase all the incredible things our college community does through our marketing, events and communication. The role also supports enrolment growth, community engagement, and stakeholder communication. The Marketing and Public Relations Officer reports directly to the Senior Marketing and Public Relations Officer.

This is a full time, ongoing position with an immediate start or by negotiation.


Selection Criteria

Essential:

•    A strong commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Lumen Christi College community.
•    Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline.
•    Demonstrated experience in marketing, PR, or communications roles, preferably in an educational or not-for-profit setting.
•    A passion for storytelling with excellent written and verbal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
•    Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
•    Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
•    Demonstrate the ability to work independently and with minimum supervision within a team environment.
•    Strong organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage competing and/or changing priorities and meet deadlines.
•    Be proficient in Adobe inDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
•    Have/obtain a current Working with Children Check (WWC).
•    Have/obtain a current Crimtrac Police Clearance.
•    Complete Mandatory Reporting Training requirements.
•    Acquire and/or maintain relevant Accreditation requirements to Work in a Catholic School.

Desirable:

•    Photography and/or video production skills.
•    Be proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro.
