Position Details
Assistant Principal – Full-time, Temporary
Notre Dame Catholic Primary School is a double stream co-educational primary school catering for children from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 with an approximate enrolment of 500 students. The school has a strong sense of community with an emphasis on pastoral care and acceptance of all cultural and social backgrounds and needs. The school enjoys a close relationship with the parish and strong support from the parent community.
We are seeking an Assistant Principal who will bring expertise, enthusiasm and innovation to the school.
This is a full-time temporary position and we are willing to support a secondment.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant:
• Will have a record of high level of competency and capability to support all aspects of school leadership.
• Will have highly developed organisational and interpersonal skills with a successful record of developing positive relationships with staff, students, parents and parish.
• Will display witness to their faith and commitment to their Parish.
• Will have comprehensive knowledge of current educational theories and practices and a proven ability to lead staff in educational change, curriculum development and professional learning.
• Will be able to demonstrate success as a dynamic, innovative and reflective practitioner who strives for excellence.
Qualifications Required
• Appropriate Teaching qualifications.
• Accreditation to Lead in a Catholic School (or working towards).
