Position Details
Education Assistant (General) – Part-time (0.6 FTE), Temporary
Hammond Park Catholic Primary School is a double stream Pre-K to 6 Catholic primary school located in a bush setting of one of Perth's growing southern suburbs. At Hammond Park CPS, a highly committed, professional staff and supportive parents work together to ensure there is a thriving Christian community.
Are you a dynamic, professional, compassionate and hard working education assistant or childcare worker committed to seeing students in your care succeed? We are seeking applications for an Education Assistant position opening up in Term 1, 2025 to be part of a great team. Days required are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Selection Criteria
• Actively support and promote the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education as articulated in the Bishops of WA Mandate for Catholic schools and the Vision and Mission of the School.
• Have the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of an enthusiastic and committed team.
• Have excellent communication skills and be able to identify and support the learning needs of children.
• Display a high degree of professionalism with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Understanding of a variety of strategies for supporting the needs of all students, including behaviour management strategies and learning difficulties.
Qualifications Required
• A recognised Teacher Assistant Certificate III qualification (Certificate IV Teacher Assistant desirable).
• A current Working with Children Card.
