Mental Health Practitioner: Psychologist/Counsellor/Social Worker

St Francis Xavier is a vibrant learning environment, catering for students in a co-educational setting from 3 Year Old Kindergarten – Year 6. The school is seeking an inspiring Mental Heatlh Practitioner. This vital role supports the wellbeing of students by providing professional counselling and guidance in a safe and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies to foster resilience, promote mental Health, and contribute to a positive school culture aligned with our Catholic values.
Selection Criteria
• A strong commitment to the Catholic Education and a willingness to promote and support the Catholic values as a member of the school community.
• This role demands professionalism, discretion, and a deep understanding of child mental health.
• Demonstrate a high level of organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrate capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

• Display a capacity and willingness to be a proactive member of a professional learning community and work collaboratively with all staff.
Qualifications Required
• Have relevant professional qualifications/registration for the advertised position
• Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willing to work towards)
• Working with Children Check
