ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Principal and working closely with the College Leadership Team, the Senior Human Resources Advisor will play a pivotal role in leading HR functions across the College.

This is a key leadership position within our community, providing high-level professional support and advice across recruitment, employment relations, staff development, and compliance. You’ll be empowered to build strong relationships, contribute strategically, and help shape a positive and professional staff culture.

Key areas of responsibility include:
  • Partnering with College leadership to identify and plan staffing needs.
  • Leading and managing the full recruitment lifecycle.
  • Preparing and overseeing employment contracts, salary calculations, and variations in line with CEWA guidelines.
  • Implementing CEWA HR policies and ensuring compliance with TRBWA, WWC, WorkSafe, and other requirements.
  • Advising and supporting staff and leaders in employment relations matters.
  • Coordinating induction, staff development, performance processes, and exit procedures.
  • Promoting and modelling the College’s values of Peace, Justice, and Compassion.


ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced HR professional who thrives on working with people and building trust across all levels of an organisation. You’re confident in your technical expertise, but equally passionate about creating a positive workplace culture.

You’ll bring to this role:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resource.
  • Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor or Master level) in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise agreements, industrial relations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and skills with the ability to engage effectively and professionally with staff, leadership, and external stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and add value to the employee life cycle.
  • Experience building a strong sourcing and recruitment strategy.
  • A commitment to upholding Catholic values in a professional and authentic manner.
