Position Details

Early Childhood Teacher – Part-time (0.2 FTE), Temporary

We are seeking to appoint an Early Childhood Teacher, in Pre-Kindy (0.2 FTE) replacing a teacher on leave.

St Patrick's Primary School, Fremantle, is a vibrant, co-educational, single-stream primary school, catering for students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six. The model of schooling offered by St Patrick’s is underpinned by the Gospel values and encourages students to strive to do their best in all facets of school life. Our Early Childhood Centre caters for Three-Year-Old Pre-Kindergarten, Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Primary students. The successful applicant will be expected to live out their faith in their daily lives, demonstrate excellence in teaching and be passionate about students' learning and development.


Selection Criteria

1. An educator committed to excellence and fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
2. A working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and progressive early years pedagogy to promote best practice.
3. Evidence of data-informed teaching practice through the application of continuous monitoring strategies of achievement practices.
4. An understanding of the Child Safe Framework and Keeping Safe Curriculum.
5. A willingness to contribute to the life of the school beyond the immediate classroom.
7. Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
8. Demonstrates a personal philosophy of ongoing professional learning and has a focus on his/her students being successful learners.
9. Experience with Talk 4 Writing advantageous.


Qualifications Required

1. Relevant four year tertiary qualification.
2. Registered with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
2. A valid Working with Children Check Card in Western Australia.
3. Accreditation to Teach Religious Education or ability to obtain.
