Position Details

Early Childhood Teacher  – Full-time, Temporary

St John's Primary School, Scarborough is a single stream co-educational school, catering for students from Pre Kindergarten to Year 6. Our committed and enthusiastic staff work closely together to provide a collaborative and supportive learning and teaching environment. Our staff are highly committed to whole school programs which include, PLD, Talk for Writing and Brightpath. The successful applicants will enjoy working in a team environment, have a passion for education and possess the initiative required to work successfully in a primary school setting.


Selection Criteria

St John's Primary School is seeking applicants who are able to demonstrate the following:

  • Faith filled practising Catholic.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively with colleagues demonstrating highly developed organisational and communication skills.
  • An active participant in whole school initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering PLD, Talk for Writing and Brightpath, Emotion Coaching and MJR.


Qualifications Required

  • Relevant 4 Year Tertiary Qualification.
  • Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
