Position Details
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL – Full-time, Temporary
Holy Rosary School is a two stream co-educational school catering for boys and girls from Three year old Kindy to Year Six. This well-resourced school is positioned in a beautiful environment near Jackadder Lake, close to the city. The School enjoys a close relationship with the Parish and the enthusiastic support of the parent community. Together with a comprehensive academic curriculum, Holy Rosary places strong emphasis on community and on excellence in teaching and learning.

This is a maternity cover position and we are willing to support a secondment, this position may lead to an ongoing position. The position involves a 0.6 teaching load. Applicants need to prepare a covering letter, address the selection criteria separately (maximum three pages) and provide a resume containing at least three reference contacts; including current Principal/Manager and Parish priest. Selection Criteria
• An active member of the Catholic Church.
• A relevant Early Childhood Qualification.
• Exceptional organisational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current curriculum and evidence based pedagogical practices that improve student achievement.
• Experience in supporting students with diverse educational needs.
• Experience in leading whole school learning experiences/initiatives and/or engaging community educational events.
• Experience in extending student achievement and leading innovative ways of learning.
• The ability to develop self and others through professional learning.
Qualifications Required
• A relevant four year tertiary qualification.
• A relevant Masters level qualification.
• A minimum of seven years teaching experience.
• Accreditation for Leadership of the Religious Education Learning Area to be held prior to commencement.
