Position Details

Education Assistants (Special Needs) – Full-time, Ongoing

St Helena’s Catholic Primary School is a co-educational primary school catering for over 490 students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6. This is a wonderful opportunity for a committed and passionate Education Assistant to positively influence the lives of students and contribute to our Catholic school community at St Helena's Catholic Primary School.


Selection Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

•    Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
•    Have skills and experience in engaging with and catering for the various needs of students and developing positive relationships
•    Be able to support the teaching program in Early Childhood and Primary (working with individuals and small groups)
•    Work collaboratively as part of a team with other staff
•    Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
•    Demonstrate initiative, flexibility and the ability to work independently
•    Demonstrate the capacity and enthusiasm to build community in a Catholic school in collaboration with staff, parents and students


Qualifications Required

•    Certificate IV Teacher Assistant (or equivalent)
•    Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to attain this)
