| Position Details:
St Brigid’s Primary School, Middle Swan is a double stream co-educational school, catering for students from Pre Kindergarten to Year 6. The successful applicant will enjoy working in a team environment, have a passion for education and possess the initiative required to work successfully in a primary school setting. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join our staff. This is a Temporary position commencing 1 January 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025. The successful applicant must be qualified, live out their faith in their daily lives and be passionate about students’ learning and development.
Selection Criteria:
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and innovative Primary School educators with the following attributes:
• Be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos and exhibit an active personal witness to the Catholic Faith
• Posess strong ICT skills and the ability to integrate digital technologies
• Have a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and SCSA reporting requirements
• Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills in order to create a supportive and safe environment for all students
• The ability to differentiate the teaching and learning program to cater for a variety of student needs
• An ability to collect, analyse and engage with student data to inform teaching and learning - with a particular focus on the areas of Literacy and Numeracy
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness and a passion for education
• The capacity and enthusiasm to build positive and constructive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the wider community
Qualifications Required:
• Relevant 4 year tertiary qualification in Primary Education
• Accreditation to Teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (or working towards).
